Free: Session One: Introduction to Trauma Responsive Classrooms

Participants will receive an overview and definition of trauma, examine key principles of the trauma-responsive approach, and reflect on how to apply universal strategies in the school setting. June 29th, 2022 09:00 -10 AM Eastern Time (US and Canada).

Free Session Two: Introduction to Developmental Assets

Participants will learn about developmental protective factors and why they are important for student wellness. Using the Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets and Developmental Relationships ™ framework, participants will strategize ways to build developmental assets in the youth they work with.  Jul 13, 2022 09:00 – 10:00 AM Eastern Time (US and Canada). 

Free  Session Three: Conversations on Culture and Diversity

Participants will explore the differences between “diversity” and “culture” as well as discuss how one’s own cultural attitudes impact views on communication, appearance, time, authority, and work habits. We will consider the importance of cultural competence in one’s work.

Free Session  Four: Introduction to MTSS-B

This session describes the evolution and current implementation of NH’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports for Behavioral Health and Wellness (MTSS-B) in schools.
