Recommendation 32: Develop and implement specialized training for school resource officers in addition to their law enforcement training. Training should focus on unique school issues and its population demographic as well as response to active shooter events.

Actions:
- Initial working group met to discuss establishing a NH Chapter of the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) to include all officers working with juveniles, not just SROs.
- Work will continue with the PSTC on offering SRO courses and certification and ALERT training.
- The SRO conference continues to be held between the NH Juvenile Police Officers’ Association and the NH Police Standards and Training Council (PSTC). Stay tuned for information regarding the next conference to be held in the summer of 2023.
